The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in aerial surveys has increased greatly over the last few years. Especially for small area coverage, such a system has the advantages of being more flexible, rapid, efficient, and weather independent when compared to standard airborne aerial surveys. The UAVs survey allows acquiring the data to extract a DSM and an orthoimage of the site with a very high resolution and good accuracy at a very low cost.

We have successfully carried out several high-resolution UAV data processing over the past few years. To make an ortho mosaic the image frames from the UAV generally need to be stitched together and the DEM required for this can be automatically generated in some UAV mapping software or manually done in photogrammetry. The final seamless ortho mosaic is delivered in the required format like GeoTIFF, ecw, MrSID, etc
